Busy Week!

Brian and I are hosting the after-party for his brother Matthew's ordination (deacon). It's going to be a lot of fun! I'm not sure how many people are coming 50-70? But if you're reading this, then you're invited too!
There's plenty to do this week to get prepared, but I thought I'd stop to take the time to share a bit of the recent mishaps that we've encountered...
Last Friday night, a suburban ran a red light and hit us on the way home.
The good news is we're all fine! But, I don't think I'm getting my car back.

Then, Saturday night, Holly (our German Shepherd-ish dog) got bit by a rattle snake. Her snout and just below swelled pretty badly. Brian took her to the emergency-after hours vet. She's looking great now, but that was added stress and more tough decisions to make. I don't have a picture of her, but Brian said she looked like an 80 year old, overweight man. Sad, but true.

Any thoughts on what kind of car we should get? Patrick is already cruising in a brand new Britax Marathon. I think he likes it a lot more than his infant seat.

How about a suburban? LOL. sorry about your car. (I seriously love my suburban, though!)

Congrats and thanks to Matthew on his ordination.

Amy and the rest of your family...I can not believe what has been going on, I am very sorry to hear! First your car (and my o my that sucks) and then your dog. The good news is that every is safe and healthy!

I was thinking though, that this just might be the time to bump it up to some sort of SUV. How about a Honda CR-V or a Toyota Rav4, Highlander, 4Runner...just whatever you do, promise me you will not get a van. YOU DO NOT WANT A VAN. YOU WANT AN SUV!!! TRUST ME! You will look much cooler that way!

I haven't heard from you in awhile and now I know why, things have been crazy for you all lately.

Keep me up to date with the choosing of a new vehicle! Oh someone in the office is selling a Toyota Prius, although it is fuel efficient and eco-friendly...I still think you should go for an SUV.

Miss you and take care,

Crystal

My brother-in-law and his wife bought a Highlander about a year and a half ago since they have three kids in car seats and one not in a car seat...and plan on having more! They've been really happy with it! I can't vouch for it more than that, though!

We miss you guys. We'll be going to Austin in early July. Perhaps we can meet half-way and hang out?? I want to meet Patrick!

Oh and as for car seats, Molly is riding in her Princess Sunshine Radian one and loves it. Actually, I think mama loves it because it's pink and girly, just like my baby! So cute!

OH NO!!!! I am so glad that ya'll are all okay!!!! I have to agree that it might be time for an SUV. That way there's plenty of room to haul around Patrick, and all of his stuff...not to mention his future siblings whenever that may be! Again, glad ya'll are okay, that must have been so scary!
